Is Gap Insurance worth taking?

Hello I've ordered my new yaris cross hybrid and will pick up on the 20th March 2023. Dealer salesman (Steven Eagell) is pressureing me to buy their gap insurance for £400 (3 years). I have clicked on the link here and had a quote for the same insurance for £265. Is gap insurance worth taking?

All depends on your attitude to risk. Probability of having to claim is low according to the stats I have seen, however I decided to take it out but I did not buy from the dealer (also SE) and their cover appeared massively overpriced compared to buying direct. I got cover for approx half their quoted price and decided that for the money the peace of mind it gave me was worth the cost.

You can get 4 years gap return to invoice for approx £230.
