I have recently purchased an Excel Cross and it has a powered tailgate. I was wondering whether there is any 'safety' emergency stop for the tailgate to hold if anyone has their arms/hands in the luggage area?
It stops on its own. I've tried it by by bumping the lid up with my hand as it was closing and it stopped. I'm not sure how sensitive it would be if, for example, someone's hand was near the hinges but I'm not trying that out! Incidentally, it also stops opening if it detects resistance.
